Joan & Steve were both born in other states but relocated to Florida with their parents at early ages; Steven in 1957 at the ripe age of 1 from Michigan and Joan from Massachusetts in the early sixties. They grew up, attended school and stayed for the long haul. They are truly first hand witnesses to the multitude of changes that have taken place throughout Venice, Englewood, Nokomis, Laurel, Osprey, Sarasota, North Port and all the surrounding areas. Can you picture Venice before the dredging of the intra coastal waterway that makes it the island as it is known today? They can, they saw it all. From the stately drills of the KMI cadets, the last plodding hooves of the Ringling animals as they marched across the circus bridge, the first golden arches and the building of the first Venice beach high rise Steve and Joan were there then and are here still. Let them show you around!
Steven learned and worked in the family nursery business measuring, designing and bidding jobs in both the residential and commercial sector, later returning to college to finish a degree in computer science, not knowing at the time it would be an essential asset in real estate.
After working 20 years at a local golf course, 10 of which were manager of the club house, restaurant and pro shop Joan decided to change careers and channel her people and managing skills to real estate. With Joan in the field and Steve in referrals and maintaining all the computer aspects they have combined their love and knowledge of the area and put it to work for you.
